Carl Malmsten Furniture Hemmakväll

Hemmakväll – Year 1956

Hemmakväll was shown for the first time in 1956 at the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg. Here the models that would lead to cooperation between Carl Malmsten and O.H. Sjögren were put on display. Hemmakväll was the first item of furniture in a series for the family. It is a low sofa around which the family would gather. It was followed by Farmor, Lilla Syster, VYear Fru and several other models with familiar names like these, which are very typical for Carl Malmsten and which contribute to the feeling of homeliness that he wanted to create with his furniture. Hemmakväll is available with a fixed seat or loose cushions.

Hemmakväll is also available as a sofa.
